One of our favorite afternoons in Mumbai was finding the serenity of this neighborhood park. We sat on a bench and watched people exercise. Perfectly simple.

Lumina is an artist. She doesn't just see an old wall. She sees a possibility.

How do I explain to you how much people stared at us? Let me just say that when I walked through the New York airport on my way home, I closed my eyes for a full 10 seconds, (which could get dangerous) just for the glee of opening them up again without a thousand eyes on me. And let me add that I have considered not going back to India just to stop being stared at with every turn.


My new friend Vinod is one of the best parts of Mumbai.
