Peggy Lambert, most desirable company. Enthralling, funny, and a second mother to me while I'm here.
Gary Lambert, so intelligent and cheerful, and very easy to talk to. The woman Gopi, our first grade teacher. I stayed with her at her home in Hosur last weekend.
Shilpa! As you may know, I'm doing a documentary about Shanti Bhavan for my master's thesis. Along with my own filming, I'm giving the video camera to four children to see the world in their eyes. This is Shilpa, who has become my dear friend.
I listen to this song from the musical "Rent" about 5 times a day. The children love it, and they love the message of the song. The other day, I spied Rajini closing his eyes as he listened to it, so deeply entranced in the music it looked like he left this world.

I just saw Rent on Broadway a couple months ago. It'd been a while since I'd seen it and I CRY every time I see that song performed!
