"Magic?"
This will always be my favorite email subject line. Suz was asking me a follow up question.
Suz broke up with her fiancee'.
Everyone thought she was crazy. "He's wonderful!" her friends said, "He's perfect for you!" her persuaded. She almost went back. Her heart was whispering,
(something is missing.)
Once upon a time I learned about magic. Ever since then I can't stop talking about it. I go out of my way to find it, and I don't only want to live it. I go all the right ways to be it.
"Magic?"
Suz and I drove on a rainy afternoon from one town to another. I listened to her story. I listened to her heart whisper across the car's grey interior,
(something is missing.)
"Magic," I smiled.
Suz cried and cried and cried with the rain. "Yes, I knew that," she said. Her heart leaped and danced and started to play the trombone. It wasn't whispering anymore.
(YOU FOUND THE ANSWER!)
Suz wiped her eyes and steered just in time to stay in our lane on the highway,
"I just didn't know I was allowed to believe in it."
