"I don't want you hungry or stranded somewhere"

My magic fairy power post generated some great comments.  Here's one I'd like to highlight:

"Should you ever need a couple hundred, let me know. I don't want you hungry or stranded somewhere."

Thank you so much to the person who sent this to me! He's so kind and generous. If I may, for discussion purposes, this comment brings up some wonderful points of conversation:


1. I HAVE A PLAN. You get to trust that I will not offer more than I am able to give.  Ever.  Anyone who knows me understands that I am in love with boundaries.  You can trust that if I offer 1) free performances and 2) free music, it's because I can afford to give these two gifts.  I do not believe in self-sacrifice martyrdom. I have a three-pronged business plan for this tour, and I'm following it carefully.  Sit back then, relax, and enjoy my musical gifts! 2. I HAVE A RELATIONSHIP WITH FEAR. My tour has created fear and a scarcity mindset in people from the very beginning. For months now, people have been so kind to tell me all the bad things that can happen to a person who leaves a very secure government job to go play music across the globe.  I make sure to look people right in the eyes when they are speaking to me, and there it is every time: their own fears for their own lives projected onto me. 

And to that I say yahooooo! Fear is the absolute best teacher because it is like an arrow to a target. Fear identifies in you where the real power lies.  Fear is saying, "Go THAT way...right through the bullseye." And when you do go that way, you get to be a brave hero of your own story, every single time.  I have experienced the rewards of this kind of archery practice to be immense.  I didn't quit my job and come on this tour to be comfortable and secure. I came to live my life legacy as a Pollyanna-fairy-gypsy-princess-love-warrior, of course! There is no room for fear in my life right now. Yes, good and bad things happen. And yes, fears do try to make camp in me, and I expect them to keep trying. I am definitely not fearless, but I have a healthy, bullseye relationship with fear. 


3. I AM CONNECTED. I am always connected to the Source of Abundance.  (As are you...but shhh. That sounds way too new age to actually hold merit.) It is possible that I could be hungry or stranded somewhere, which means that in those moments it appears I was entering a winter season of Abundance. But like a good princess love warrior, I have been training for years to live in both peace time, and in harsh conditions. I continue to train every day, physically, spiritually, emotionally.  Anything can happen out here, and yet, I know I am always connected.  This knowledge of connection runs so deep in me, it is part of my DNA. 


4. I KNOW HOW TO RECEIVE. In a gift circle, you are welcome to give generously to me.  If you feel impressed to send a couple hundred, do so now, and not when I'm already stranded or hungry! Give right now, for no other reason besides you believe in what I'm doing. (I promise this is not pointed to the gentleman who made this comment! He gives to me in so many other ways and he knows how grateful I am.)I will receive your gift so gratefully, not because I "need" it and you are saving me, but because it is simply a gift of your heart.  

5. I DON'T KNOW THE 'HOW'. I have absolutely no doubt of my alignment in this project, and at the very same time, I also have no idea "how" it all will work. Both live in me. I have learned the power of being comfortable with question marks.  


6. I AM READY TO LEARN. I don't personally know anyone doing what I'm doing, so I am pioneering quite a bit alone.  I'm bound to have some profound learning moments from which to learn.  Stay with me and love me along the way?
