PRESS RELEASE
The Mirror Concert Tour
May-October 2015

On her Mirror Concert Tour, Emily Potter is combining her passion as self-promoted folk/jazz musician and as director of the Million Kisses Foundation, performing self-guided house concerts across both North America and in several countries internationally.  She models the Million Kisses Foundation after a global gifting economy, and has dedicated her life, as she states, “in eliminating money as a barrier in helping ordinary people live extraordinary dreams.” She starts with herself. Emily’s music tour is unique in that it is fully supported by the values held within a gift economy, as individuals along the way are inspired to give tangible gifts of appreciation in her behalf.

Emily’s gift, in exchange, is her music.

During her concerts, she guides the audience through a musical journey of an intimate “dream walk”, beginning each performance by curiously strumming minor chords on her guitar and announcing to the audience, “This evening is about you…

She begins the set with songs that reflect the new excitement of a sprouting dream just being born.  The musical journey continues into realms that the warrior dreamer must traverse in eliminating personal fears, and sometimes risking everything for their dream to survive.  The audience follows Emily’s songs like a soundtrack of their own inner stories.  She guides them through songs about the struggles and wounds of following dreams, trading in dreams, and how sometimes dreams run away, or even die.

The audience is then brought to the other side, ending the hour and a half set with calming guitar strums, and songs about dreams fulfilled.  Emily reminds the audience that no matter where they are on their dream journey, whether they are ready to follow dreams, rest from them, or risk everything to embody them, there will always be a dream living in us, ready to take us on a brilliant life adventure.  After one of her concerts, one cannot walk away without feeling you have gained something positive from the experience.

Emily commented after one of her house concerts,  "I make it my only performance rule that when I am on stage, I give you my full, wide open heart, and just see what happens."  She stated, “Once, after making this announcement from the stage, I opened my arms side to side to demonstrate my open heart.  Starting with one woman, the whole audience one by one opened their arms side to side in return.  We beamed and smiled at each other.  My eyes got misty.”
