Hard at Work

Last week there was an "emergency" at work. My co-worker, Mike, was taking a group camping and all of his staff cancelled the morning of the trip. Clearly distraught, he called me. It just so happened that my horse-back riding group and my music group was cancelled on Thursday, so I was free to help out. ha ha! And it also worked out that I keep an emergency overnight bag in my car. Toothbrush, sweater, socks and all. So yeah, you don't need to worry. The camping trip didn't have to be cancelled. Whew. That was close. Up the Uinta Mountains we went.

This is my favorite picture of the trip. We locked ourselves out of the van and thought to "fish" the keys out through the open window. (Clicking on the picture will make it bigger.)

I DO work hard, I promise. I have lots of office and "sitting in front of the computer" time, and lots of long meetings. But I can tell you that I personally needed this trip as much as our veterans did. The veterans are very independent, so at one point in the afternoon I snuck away and went swimming down the creek, did some yoga, played my guitar, and enjoyed some quiet meditation time. I was very grateful for the rejuvination. Practicing what I preach.

Hey, It's Ansley said...

Moments like this must make the office time much more tolerable. Lucky!
