I played three of my original songs for my audition today, and they hired me on the spot! It's crazy how this whole thing came about. Just yesterday it fell on my lap.
Thaifoon has a nice patio eating area where I'll play outside all summer as part of their summertime atmosphere. It sounds like a lot of fun.
The manager is starting me out with Tuesday nights from 6-9 p.m, and he'd like to see his live music line up move to two or three times a week. I'll be playing a three hour gig...(holy cow...can we say cover songs?) with a standard bundle of money, and a treat to free dinner.
So here's my schedule thus far if you're in Salt Lake (or planning your summer trip to visit me) and like live music with your Thai food:
- April 22 6-9 p.m.
- May 20 6-9 p.m.
- June 3 6-9 p.m.
- July 1 6-9 p.m.
- July 15 6-9 p.m.

Just to let you all know, "Island Dreamer" was my sopranist in my band. We had a whole lot of fun making our cd. Now my problem is either stealing her back from Africa and the Peace Corps, or replacing her. Both will be equally difficult. Hey, how's your own cd coming?
