"Old Man" acrylic on canvas 11"x16" $85
Just finished it. He makes me happy. I feel like he's telling stories. If he's telling you a story right now, what is he saying?
Have you noticed when you look in someone's eyes, it's very often only one at a time... searching back and forth between two windows to discover what they will allow to be revealed...
The eye is at peace and a bit tired, yet it looks like there is a tear rolling down his face (the track near his nose), and his mouth is smiling. Something tells me he sees something sad, yet is funny in its own way. Kind of like seeing two people that are driving each other crazy, but neither one knows that they are driving the other person crazy. Funny, but sad. it can be even more funny if you are on the outside looking in.

Experience is beautiful and yet can be heavy. The eyes say so much.
Life is to know laughter, heartache, disappointment and joy. In all of this have perspective. See the world with open eyes and stay true to yourself.
he seems serious and tired... or seriously tired...
maybe i am projecting.
it looks like he is looking at something he is enjoying but trying to hold in a laugh but his mouth isn't being as successful at it.
I just love his beautiful eyes. They really do tell so much.
And all this with only one eye...
