This is called, "International Flowers". 11x16" acrylic on canvas. My Intercultural Youth and Family Development (IYFD) professors, Lynne and Otto Koester, commissioned this one to go in our IYFD classroom. It's based from a photo from that International Fest in March (that's me on the right as the bellydancer).
This photo of it is a bit lopsided. Oh well.
I liked the idea of the colorful women of the world looking more like flowers than flowers themselves.

Wow! Beautiful!
I really like women as flowers too.
I bought $200 worth of acrylic paints, brushes, gesso, glossy gel, a pallete and then two huge canvases today....
I've never painted in acrylic before...actually. here goes nothing!
Lovely Emily ! what a beautiful piece!
This is beautiful, love!! I have the picture on my computer of the three of you that was taken that day, and that I presume this was modeled after. I am so happy to know it will grace the presence of IYFD newbies:) Love you and miss you and hope you are blessed and being blessed in India.
