I wanted to be at Skye's cd release concert in Portland much more than you did. It broke my heart that I wasn't going to be in the audience...
...but then I was.
If you looked closely at Kelli's table, you'll see me. I was on the other side of that metal contraption referred to as a "mobile". I actually got the best seat in the house. On the other side of that mobile I was holding my phone up to my ear loving Skye's concert...
I was the only one in the audience who got to actually dance to the songs! I took her voice with me all around a huge field in the middle of campus, in my car, up and down my street outside of my house, and eventually within the comfort of my own room.
The whole two-three hour "gig" call was free, as it was after 9:00 p.m. My whole Skye concert was outside, under a magical moon... I twirled with her To Be Happy Hallelujah Song, and swayed with her Tallest than the Highest Mountain song and "salsa-ed" with Fernando.
At one point as Skye's voice trailed across the miles and the moon glistened on my metal handset, I looked down at this silly little device and said,
"You're alright."
I think all I needed was this little guy to give me some magic.
