- "I woke up to read other people's poetry and got side-tracked owning mine."
This is the title of my original performance art piece to be debuted April 21, 2005 in Portland, Oregon before being performed in Seoul, Korea during the summer of 2005.
The show is at the Tribe Theater and Art Gallery
510 NW and Glisan St.
7:00 p.m.

The performance is a three-act show starring Skye Pixton Engstrom (www.skyepixton.com), Lumina Gershfield and me.
My piece includes four segments entitled: - "Dear Child"- a monologue letter from me a mommy to my unborn children.
- "I Am Art"- the connection of bellydancing and poetry to illustrate a woman's body as a piece of living art.
- "Owning Mine"-lyrics and guitar music of the amateur musician, the professional soul.
- "50 Year Dialogue"- the silhouette of a past lover haunting the present moment with the eerie words that make it impossible for his memory to die.
Folk musicians Jason Brown and Emily Potter are committed to offering music in the spirit of joy and celebration. We, as a guitar and piano duo, believe strongly that the healing power of music can connect people to their deeper selves in order to make bold changes to live their true soul’s purpose. www.jasonandemily.com
